Ones to Watch: These showbiz kids are making tracks in Tinseltown
Penn Badgley says he can relate to his character on the WB Network series "Do Over." He plays a 34-year-old who, through a freak accident, travels 20 years into the past and gets the opportunity to do things differently the second time around. "I think everyone wants to be able to do something over - something they wish hadn't happened," he says. "I can think of several instances where I would want to - something that was really embarrassing."

Badgley says he was embarrassed during a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" when the host showed clips of Badgley's first major part, a role with "five lines" on "Will & Grace" in 1998. "The way I said my lines...it was funny; I was so young," he says.

But when it comes to his career, the 16-year-old has no regrets - in other words, there is nothing he wants to "do over." "I have almost no time; I work every day - but I"m having a lot of fun," Badgley says.

About six years ago, Badgley began acting in school plays in his hometown of Seattle, moving on to community theater and radio. After getting an agent, he relocated three-and-a-half years ago to Los Angeles, landing parts on "The Young and the Restless," "The Brothers Garcia" and the short-lived "Daddio." In addition to his busy career, he still finds time to take college classes (he passed the high school proficiency exam), hang out with friends and surf.
