When Smuggler Films announced that Penn Badgley was set to star as the late, great singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley, fans were surprised. Maybe BULLETT should expand into the business of fortune-telling: Our shoot with photographer Kurt Iswarienko captured Badgley decked out in Dior Homme, and playing around with a roomful of instruments (including an adorable Hamilton piano) in our premier issue back in fall 2010.

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate our one-year anniversary than to look back on that vintage-inspired shoot starring the Talented Mr. Badgley. He also obliged us by filling out a questionnaire that not only includes his take on life’s giant conundrums (between boxers and briefs, he chose the former—swoon), but also his thoughts on the great Edward vs. Jacob debate.
