‘It turned off literally every girl at the party,’ ‘Gossip Girl’ star says of bloody makeup. Penn Badgley is arguably a pretty good-looking guy with a pretty hot girlfriend, his “Gossip Girl” co-star Blake Lively. But as it turns out, the actor hasn’t always come up with the best ideas for Halloween costumes. In fact, one year his idea was so bad there wasn’t a girl in sight who was willing to chat him up. “I was 14 years old and … went to [Burbank, California, costume shop] Cinema Secrets and I got a big old prosthetic scar and blood dripping from my face done so that it looked really nice,” he said. “It was the worst idea ever because it turned off literally every girl at the party.” It was an experience that seems to have stuck with the 22-year-old all these years later. “And I was 14, thinking I was so hot. It was terrible,” he said. “It was the worst idea I ever had.” As for this year, the actor admitted he hasn’t finalized any costume ideas yet. “I don’t know.
