According to this site. Penn is set to star in a new indie movie called MESKADA. More information is below:
Starring Penn Badgley (”Gossip Girl”) Kellan Lutz (”Twilight”) Vincent D’Onofrio (”Law and Order” “Brooklyn’s Finest”) Cynthia Nixon (”Sex and the City”) and Mary-Kate Olsen (”The Wackness”), Meskada tells the story of small-town detective, Noah Cordin, as he attempts to solve a juvenile homicide that occurred during a home burglary in his affluent town of Hilliard. The dead boy’s mother, Allison Connor, is a member of the Meskada County Board of Commissioners, and a powerful woman in Hilliard; and the entire township rallies together in solidarity – to support her and Detective Cordin’s efforts to find the killers.
Unfortunately, the burglars left no clues or leads at the crime scene – except for a tiny scrap of paper, which vaguely points Noah and county detective Leslie Spencer in the direction of Noah’s OWN hometown of Caswell. Noah and Leslie return to Caswell, where Noah re-connects with his old friends and roots, troubled at how economically downtrodden Caswell has become. Noah’s investigation into the Connor homicide starts off respectfully, as he enlists the help of his old friends Daniel Hartfield, a cop in Caswell, and Billy Burns, a local bar owner.
However, as Noah fails to extract a suspect, tensions rise feverishly between Hilliard and Caswell. The Meskada County Board of Commissioners threatens to derail a newly-planned manufacturing plant from setting up in Caswell, which would bring CRUCIALLY needed jobs into their local economy. Shocked by the threatened sabotage, Daniel, Billy, and all of Caswell begin their own investigation into their town – to reveal the killers and put their manufacturing plant back on track. And through all of this, Noah’s loyalties are torn between his past and his present…until the Connor murder investigation comes to a shocking climax.
MESKADA is joins KNUCKLEHEAD as the second feature in production for Aliquot Films, an NYC independent film fund and production company founded by Jay Kubassek.
I wonder if Penn is playing the role of Noah? But also, this must be the film Penn was reffering to at the Upfronts? Hopefully there’s more information coming soon. We’ll keep you posted.
The award for the most fashionably late has to go to Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, who showed up last at around 10 p.m. (they even missed Burberry’s lighting of the New York skyline). As soon as the couple hit the press line, madness and mayhem ensued. Photogs started yelling, publicists starting running around and everyone starting pushing — but this “girly” crew held our own. Blake Lively wasn’t talking, but her boyfriend Penn was more than willing to wax poetic on his “Gossip Girl” co-stars’ singing careers and his own music hopes.
As an avid “GG” watcher, I never thought I’d say this, but as of last night, Dan Humphrey totally trumps Serena Van Der Woodsen.
“That’s the driest party I’ve ever been to,” sniffed one woman as she headed to the more well-stocked Gilt Bar downstairs. Apparently, Blake Lively and Penn Badgley agreed — after a brief lap upstairs they held court with Justin Long at one of the watering hole’s back tables.
E! News caught up with Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Jessica Szohr, Taylor Momsen, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley at the CW upfronts, and they were all talky and gorgeous and funny and sweet and answered many of our burning questions about themselves and their show.
Press play above to see the scoop for yourself, or just read the CliffsNotes below:
Are Blake and Leighton awesome besties? Yes.
Is something delicious going to happen between Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) and Blair at NYU in season three? Only totally.
Can you go scuba diving in the Hudson River? Sure, if you aren’t squeamish.
Plus, oh yeah, are Blake and Penn Badgley getting married? Penn tells us the truth!
On a scale of one to infinity, exactly how delightful is this cast? The comments await your verdict…
As many of you may know, Penn is on the cover [and features a spread in] the current issue of 2 Magazine. Unfortunately, it seems as if this magazine is only available in Asia. We have been trying our utmost in getting the magazine, but can’t seem to find it anywhere. If anyone has the magazine and would like to send in scans then please don’t hesitate to email us. I’ll be more than happy to pay for them, if necessary.
Also, I know I still have lots of videos to add to Penn Badgley Web Media. I’ll begin uploading the remainder of the videos towards the end of June. If there’s anything anyone would like to send in, we’d really appreciate it.
Oh, that cute Gossip Girl couple just can’t keep their hands—or lips—off of each other.
Blake Lively and Penn Badgley showed how much in lust love they are during a night out this weekend in New York City.
The two were spotted on Sunday night with a gaggle of friends at Fuerza Bruta: Look Up, an interactive music and dance show at the Daryl Roth Theatre.
“They were making out during the show,” a source reports.
The lovebirds stayed around for the postshow dance party, which features indoor rain. “They were getting completely soaked together and having a great time,” the source says.
No surprise, but Lively admirers didn’t mind her wet look. Says the source, “She looked stunning!”
Nate has to decide whether to cross moral lines at Diana's request. Dan is trying to figure out who is publishing his book, and seeks help to stop it but ends up in the spotlight anyway. Chuck helps Dan and Dan helps Chuck break through. Meanwhile, Serena and Charlie return to the Upper East Side.
Every Monday @ 8 PM on CW
